• Having EWG Verified™ certification ensures that our fragrances are free of known or suspected ingredients of concern related to cancer, endocrine disruption and developmental toxicity. With transparency and complete product safety at the root of Rosy & Earnest's creation, undertaking this process was essential for us in an industry that is still largely unregulated.
• In the process, Rosy & Earnest was required to provide a wealth of information about the ingredients that make up its fragrances.  Using their extensive database, each ingredient was verified by EWG as well as our manufacturing processes. This rigor has paid off, as the EWG Verified™ seal, synonymous with strict health standards, full ingredient transparency and good manufacturing practices, appears on each of our fragrances.

We pride ourselves on getting the EWG Verified™ mark on all our fragrances, as Rosy & Earnest eaux de parfum are the first to be EWG Verified™ in Canada and the second in the United States. A rarity, in short!

The only way to be sure if you’ll react to our fragrances or any fragrance is to test it on a small area of your skin beforehand. As we all react differently to fragrance and personal care products, this is the safest way to know if your body will react to it.

We also take advantage of the fact that we’re a small company to offer you creations composed of exquisite ingredients. For example, did you know that orris butter used in Be Rosy can take up to 3 to 5 years to mature starting from the harvesting of the root, then the drying process and up to the preparation of the final product?

 

The results are complex and original fine fragrances made with 20% and 22% perfume concentrate.  Rosy & Earnest's fine fragrances offer both quality and exclusivity.

Our formulations are vegan and are never tested on animals.   When you come across the word “musk” in our descriptions, you can rest assured that it is made with a safe synthetic note. 

Rosy & Earnest uses high-quality and the safest possible ingredients to create its fragrances. We use both safe synthetic and safe botanical ingredients. Natural doesn’t mean safe. The terminology natural is not regulated and can be interpreted in many ways.

Rosy & Earnest fragrances contain botanical ingredients so you may notice slight colour variations between fragrances. In general, fragrances that are exposed to the sun for long periods may also change in colour slightly. Our Be Rosy fragrance has a golden/yellowish hue. This is normal and due to some of the botanical ingredients present in the fragrance. 

Yes, order our Discovery set to try our fragrances! Samples are filled up to 2ml in 3ml bottles so you may notice a gap. The extra volume is to ensure proper functioning of the pump.

All our fine fragrances are free of EWG’s list of known or suspected toxic ingredients linked to cancer, endocrine disruptions, and developmental toxicity. We only use safe synthetic and safe botanical ingredients.

All our packaging is recyclable, from the cap to the bottle to the box except for the sprayer. We purposely chose minimalist packaging to reduce our footprint at the source as much as possible. We use brown paper dunnage for transportation. We know that we can always improve. Hence, our goal is to use more recycled materials and find ways to reduce our footprint even more.
